At this time, the SMDI Supply Process is provided for the exclusive use of the U.S. Army and Pennsylvania manufacturers.
The SMDI Team’s assessment of the U.S. Army’s business process has confirmed the need of a supply chain intermediary to provide the knowledge and due diligence necessary to increase the number of qualified prototyping suppliers that could quickly respond to request for quotes.
The methodology of the Supplier Capability Assessment (SCA) and the technology of the SMDI Supply Process can be used by DoD buyers to identify, recruit and engage qualified suppliers to meet their specific procurement needs. Buyer-specific procurement requirements can be incorporated in the SCA process, including DFAR, military specifications, quality and industrial standards.
